Non-Profits Face Marketing Challenges

Southeastern Guide Dogs

Sharing a heroic mission

Southeastern Guide Dogs is one of the most respected guide dog schools in the United States. Founded in 1982, it serves the visually impaired, veterans, and others needing a service dog, training more than 100 partnerships a year.

Ironically, their program was recognized nationally, but unknown locally. They needed integrated advertising to break through the clutter of hundreds of other local non-profits vying for donors.

Cue the cute—simple, affordable production

Our campaign featured the evolution of a guide dog—from puppy to “hero.” Fully-integrated “Hero” marketing blanketed the Tampa Bay area for nine months in print, broadcast, outdoor, public relations, and social media. Blue Bridge Productions delivered great TV.

Tapping the Tampa Bay donor base

The advertising campaign raised general awareness for the organization, and then some. Several large donors contributed to the non-profit through the campaign. One mega-donor saw the billboards, fell in love with the mission, and graciously funded a new SEGD veterinary center, as well as a host of other campus facilities.

Outdoor advertising at its best

Results that make a difference in the world

Guide Dogs leadership attributes a nearly 40% increase in donor revenues to a variety of factors including the branding and marketing efforts of that first campaign, followed by two new campaigns with equal results.
